FRANFORT, Ky. (April 12, 2012) – On Thursday, April 12, 2012, Kentucky State University held its 49^th Annual Honors Convocation. As in previous years, several KSU student-athletes were recognized for the academic prowess and leadership.
 
The Convocation was held in Bradford Hall Auditorium and was headlined by guest speaker Dr. Sharon P. Robinson, President and CEO of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE). Robinson was selected as AACTE's top executive in 2005 and assumed leadership of the association in April of that year. She possesses a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and diversity in the nation's teaching workforce. A lifelong civil rights activist, Dr. Robinson has waged a personal crusade to realize the nation's moral and professional responsibility to educate and maximize the potential of minority and disabled students.
